Beshay Steel operates advanced air separation units based on state-of-the-art cryogenic technology for the production of high-purity gaseous and liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. The plants are supplied by SIAD (Siad) and are designed to ensure stable, efficient, and continuous operation in support of both steelmaking processes and external supply requirements. The units produce high-quality industrial gases with consistent purity levels, including oxygen at 99.7% purity in both gaseous and liquid forms, nitrogen with oxygen content as low as 100 ppm, and argon with impurity levels limited to 2 ppm oxygen and nitrogen. The facilities are fully integrated with cylinder filling stations, enabling flexible distribution of all air separation products across industrial and medical applications. Beyond supporting internal operations, Beshay Steel’s air separation capacity has played a critical national role. During periods of high demand, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the group supplied over 70% of Egypt’s oxygen requirements, supporting hospitals and healthcare infrastructure when uninterrupted access to medical oxygen was essential.
