Beshay Steel was founded in 1948 by Mr. Gaber Beshay under the name “International Company for Iron Trading,” during a critical political and economic period in Egypt. Following his passing in the 1960s, his four sons continued the company’s growth, expanding its activities to include steel manufacturing, including nails, bolts, and heat-treated products. In the 1990s, the family entered the long products segment by establishing rebar rolling mills, strengthening the company’s position in Egypt and the Middle East. In later stages, the group continued its strategic investments in advanced melting facilities, Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) units, and section mills, significantly increasing production capacity and supporting the growing demand in both local and global markets.
