The MIDREX MEGAMOD Direct Reduced Iron facility is a state of the art installation designed to produce both high quality Cold Direct Reduced Iron and Hot Direct Reduced Iron. The plant has an annual production capacity of 2,000,000 tons. The facility is equipped with the MIDREX HOTLINK 2G system, enabling the direct transfer of Hot Direct Reduced Iron from the shaft furnace to an adjacent Electric Arc Furnace. This configuration enhances thermal efficiency, reduces energy consumption, and supports consistent steelmaking performance. The plant processes iron oxide in the form of lump ore, pellets, or a combination of both, converting it into highly metallized iron suitable for high quality steel production, with controlled chemistry and low impurity levels.
